Why Schnaunzl (mustache in Tyrolean)? Quite simply, the Schnaunzl has history! The Hotel Kirchplatz was built in 1912, initally it was a farmhouse with a stable. At that time there were names for all the houses in the village and since the owner and great-great-grandfather of Fabian had a very beautiful and magnificent mustache, this house was called “Schnaunzlhaus”. In the 1950s, the grandparents began renting out rooms and the house was later continued by their daughter Marlene.

In 2012, we, Katharina and Fabian, were the third generation to take over the hotel! Since then we have tried to give the house our own touch and mix traditional with modern, creative and perhaps sometimes crazy, but with attention to detail. We are not pompous, but we are definitely interesting and we try to please.
